Speech and Language Therapy Service
The Speech and Language Therapy Service is for children and adults in the community who have communication impairments. Therapists based in Mallow Primary Healthcare Centre (MPHC) serve the people of Mallow and surrounding areas.
Speech & language therapists will:
-Assess and provide therapy to develop :
-Speech
-Language- comprehension & expression
-Fluency
-Non verbal communication
-Play
- Evaluate and manage feeding and swallowing disorders in adults
- Provide parent training programmes.
- Provide staff training.
- Work with parents , carers and families, schools, other health professionals and voluntary agencies.
