Dr Mahesh Pauriah, Cardiologist

Dr Pauriah is originally from Mauritius. After completing A Level (Equivalent of leaving cert) he came to the University of Newcastle upon Tyne medical school. Having completed MBBS with distinction, he graduated in 1999. This was followed by training in General Medicine in Cambridge University Hospitals NHS Trusts. He them embarked on General Cardiology training in Merseyside. As a Translational Medicine Research Collaboration, he pursued research at the University of Dundee.
He then pursued subspecialty training in basic electrophysiology in Liverpool. For complex ablations, he underwent training in two leading European centres  Nancy, France followed  the Royal Brompton Hospital in London, the largest cardiothoracic centre in Europe.

Dr Pauriah is a full fledged Cardiologist who has single-handedly set up complex ablations at the Bons Secours Hospital. In addition, he is one of the high volume operators for Pacemakers and Complex  devices with high success and minimal complications rates.
